Just plain funny...

Let's start by saying I was practically raised on Superman comic books and the or George Reeve's Superman TV show.  Over the years, I have kept up with the comic books, TV shows and movies.  In fact, I would even say that I enjoyed Superman Returns.  Smallville is fun, but a little too soap opera-ish at times, but I am sticking with it - IMHO this last season was saved with the introduction of the Green Arrow.

So, in other words, I am a big Superman fan.  That being said, when I came across Superdickering.com I almost wet my pants laughing.  How I missed this in all my internet travels, I do not know.  But this is some funny mess.  Basically, it is a gallery of assorted comic book covers throughout the ages. Although mostly Superman, there is a splash of several other DC, Marvel and long ago defunct third stringers, the Galleries showcase some of the funniest artwork and dialogue ever.  Plus the host makes clever quips to add to the hilarity (i.e.: http://www.superdickery.com/stupor/35.html ).

Now I must warn you, I have not gone through every gallery and they state up front that some of the content is a little crude/lude/unsocially exceptable.  Nonetheless, if you want a good belly laugh, or just like looking at original Comic Book cover art, check out http://www.superdickery.com, and be sure to read the FAQ before you hit the galleries.  This will explain, amongst other things, the history of the site and how it got the name.

It's just plain funny.

Heroes Keeps You Hooked

The show just gives and gives and  then gives some more.  The really weird part is, despite the huge ensemble cast, I don't think there is a story line I don't enjoy.  The great part about this weeks episode has been the way characters have turned out, proving the old adage 'that things are not always as they appear'.  Now the only problem is waiting until the end of April for the next chapter.  Let's just hope they don't pull a LOST when they return.

Star Wars.Com has a regular caption contest and for last week they chose the scene in Episode IV when Darth Vader is interrogating the Rebel commander by lifting him off his feet with a single-handed choke hold.  Check it out here:  http://www.starwars.com/community/fun/caption/2007/02/caption20070227.html

Finally, LOST is back

Is it just me or was it hard to get back into LOST after the 2 or 3 month hiatus the network forced on us for the season?  Granted I am a latecomer to the series - my wife had to buy Season 1 on DVD to get me to even consider watching the show after I missed the first two seasons and then promptly pre-ordered Season 2 on DVD so I would be ready for this season.

Season 3 was going so well, and then when they came back, it just seemed like we were stuck in Jack-Kate-Sawyer triangle and would never return to the rest of our friends on the island.  But this weeks episode "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead" finally brought us back to the beach and the ensemble cast we have all become addicted to over the past two seasons.  It was nice to see a flashback with somebody else other than JKS Triangle as well.

Don't get me wrong.  I am very interested in seeing what happens to the JKS Triangle, but Hurley is my favorite character, so I got a big kick out of this weeks episode.  This episode made me actually lauh out loud and cheer!  So, if you haven't seen it already, or your TIVO got pre-empted by another award show red-carpet marathon, then go over to the LOST official site and watch it online.  It's worth the bandwidth.
